"Crazy" Chris Kramer
Even from an early age Chris feels attracted to the music. From his
father he learned the first notes on the harmonica. Quickly developed a
boundless love for blues music and it is for sure: I will bluesmen. With
18 years of musical autodidact starts actually act as a blues musician.
First, with the harp, its prime instrument, and later as a singer and
guitarist. Sure, Chris is at home in the blues and he lives like no
other, but he is also a creative hotbed of unrest, which is why he soon
gave it the name "Crazy."
Chris appears as soloist and as a duo Bluebyrds with Christoph 'Slidin'
"John. Later he formed a duo with guitarist Manfred Portugall . In the
current occupation is found here, however, Dirk Edelhoff on guitar.
With the founding of the group "Crazy Chris Kramer And His Hands Groove"
(with violinist Bernd Kullack , bassist Wolfgang Engelbertz and
guitarist Mirko van Stiphaut ), Chris fulfilled a longtime dream of a
completely open style band. They present the audience a musical journey
through different styles and rhythms, and connect many genres of music
such as blues, funk, bossa nova, klezmer, jazz, gypsy swing, country,
bluegrass and original cover versions of pop and rock classics with each
other
Chris is not only as a solo artist or with his duo partner Dirk Edelhoff
road, but also with full band instrumentation. For the faithful
implementation of the elaborately produced songs Chris has taken his
live band truly impressive: On lead guitar is Dirk Edelhoff of the
party, a multiple winner of national contest "Youth Jazz". On bass is
playing none other than Martin Engelien , with the position Klaus has
written for decades German rock history. Plays the drums Kirschgen
Joseph , who was involved in various television and radio and theater
productions (including Harald Schmidt Show ) and twice the price of the
German Record Critics' Award (1996 & 1999) won.
And so Chris can after 15 years of existence as a professional musician
not only to well over 1000 gigs (such as support for groups like
Whitesnake , The Blues Brothers and Canned
Heat ) look back and 10 CD productions, but he stands with his
harmonica and always new challenges. In addition to the 17-year career
as a harmonica workshop instructor and textbook author, "Crazy" Chris
Kramer is best known as singer and guitarist as well established in the
scene and both solo, duo and full band line with the move.
