The Hep Cat Boo Daddies are: Joel DaSilva - Guitar & Vocals Sean "Evil" Gerovitz - Bass Randy Blitz - Drums With front man Joel Dasilva’s mix of both Chicago and Texas style blues guitar, as well as his wide variety of influences combined with Evil’s hard driving bass lines and Randy Blitz’s hard hitting backbeats (and old school New York punk rock attitude), this band quickly gained a reputation as one of the best bands around. Along with their 1st CD "Long Time Comin' and their DVD "Invasion of the Hep Cat Boo Daddies", they have also just released their 2nd album titled “hotrodsexgod”. This album captures the raw, real and powerful live vibe of HCBD. It was recorded at Bieler Bros. Studio (home of the very successful rock band “Nonpoint”). It was mixed and engineered by Matt Laplant who also did work on “Nonpoint’s” albums. “hotrodsexgod” was produced by Adam Wesley and includes all original material and one cover of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues”. In the short time since it’s release, it has been featured in Blues Revue Magazine with the song, “Don’t be a Fool” as a track on the issue’s CD Sampler. Also since the album’s release, New Times Magazine & The Sun-Sentinel have reviewed it and the album is currently on many overseas radio station playlists & US stations as well.
