Originally from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, the "Hot Spot Blues Band" offer a modern and visceral blues, to which the musicians add numerous musical references, from jazz to rock, via funk and Brazilian popular music.

Gustavo Andrade: Born in Belo Horizonte-MG in 1977, a professional musician since 1990, Gustavo Andrade incorporates influences from rock, jazz, soul, funk, latin and brazilian music. Began playing guitar at age 9 influenced by his brother, father and grandfather who were also musicians. Later, he studied bass-guitar and guitar at the Foundation for Arts Education-MG-Brazil. Also studied vocal technique with Patricia Amaral. In his career played and shared the stage with Claudio Venturini (14 bis), Pepeu Gomes (Novos Baianos), Andre Christovam, Celso Blues Boy, Blues Etílicos among many others, thus acquiring a wide experience with the music, the blues and your ramifications.

Currently leads the Hot Spot Blues Band, considered the best blues band of Minas Gerais by the newspapers "Estado de Minas" (Minas Gerais) and "O Dia" (Rio De Janeiro), in 2008. The band's debut album, entitled "Feeling Alright" was released in 2008 by the label "Blues Time Records". Feeling Alright shows all talent, experience and siwng of the Hot Spot Blues Band in modern versions of some classic blues/soul.
