The John Sosebee Band is a one-of-a-kind,
original, Hill Country/Juke Joint style Blues band that never fails to
provide up-tempo, powerful, low-down-'n'-dirty Blues
beats all night long. No matter where they are playing (in a bar for locals
or on a stage for thousands) these boys always get the crowd up and out of
their seats and
onto the dance floor. Delivering sensational slide guitar work, soulful
vocals, and highly-energetic beats they defy the norm in an innovative and
unprecedented way
that always has the audience wanting more and more.
The band is made up of two half brothers-John Sosebee and Jacob Gise- and is
often compared to R.L. Burnside,
Junior Kimbrough,
The Black Keys,
The North
Mississippi Allstars, and John Spencer's Blues Explosion although they
feature one of the most unique setup you'll ever see or hear from any band.
Sosebee handles
kick drum, foot-snare and high-hat duties, along with the usual vocals, and
amazing guitar, while his younger brother fills out the bottom and top with
strong bass
guitar and his exclusive foot percussion setup with the crash cymbals.
Together, these two poor boys from Georgia have created the first true
"Power Duo", with a huge sound that is regularly mistaken for a four piece
band.
