Son Jack Jr. and Michael Wilde - Pour one part each
of Son House,
John Lee Hooker,
RL Burnside,
Mississippi Fred McDowell,
Robert Johnson,
Charley Patton,
Skip James,
Little Walter, James Cotton,
Big Walter Horton and
Blind Willie Johnson into a
large blender. Add a couple splashes of
Big Bill Broonzy,
Howlin Wolf,
Sleepy John Estes,
Sonny Terry and
Long John Baldry. Add
triple measures of guitar mastery, harp pyrotechnics, incredible
songwriting, engaging stage presence, and a cup of sweat and then blend
the mixture on high speed for 3 hours. Serve with plenty of ice.
What does it taste like?
"Going in a little different direction has worked out well for Son Jack
Jr. here. Walk The Talk stacks up well with his other work and gives
listeners a little bit more variety. Son Jack Jr.’s and Michael Wilde’s
styles mesh well and are satisfying to the ear." LIVING BLUES, OCT 2010
"Walk The Talk is more than just a good CD. It’s exceptional. Kick back
and throw the disc on your player. More than likely you won’t be sitting
long. The groove here will make you move whether you plan on it or not.
Son Jack Jr & Michael Wilde will make you believe that Seattle really is
in Mississippi. The far Northwest corner that is. A run-out-and-buy-it
record for anybody who loves Southern blues music. Top shelf material!"

BLUESLETTER
Son Jack Jr. is blues singer, songwriter and guitarist who performs as a
duo with Michael Wilde. The pair also front a high energy 4-piece
delta/hill country blues band. He was raised in London, England and
moved to the USA in 1997 where he re-started his musical career that had
been dormant for 20 years. Back in the 70’s and ‘80’s he recorded,
performed and toured extensively in the UK. Since 2006 he has released 3
critically acclaimed albums, the latest being a collaboration with
Michael Wilde titled, "Walk The Talk" that released in September 2010.
The duo's live shows have been described as “intoxicating, intense,
exciting experiences” and comprise mostly original material and a heady
mix of classics from a wide range of country blues greats (see cocktail
recipe).
Son Jack Jr has had the good fortune to play with legends such as
David “Honeyboy” Edwards, Louisiana Red, and John Cephas, and has
appeared on the same bill as just about every major Pacific Northwest
act. As a duo the pair have opened for Candye Kane, Sonny Landreth,
Magic Slim and Coco Montoya to name a few.
